The Sky's the Limit: NDES integrates Cloud Technology into their Curriculum
Responding to the transformation in education paradigms, NDES recognizes the importance of technology coupled with the nurturing guidance of teachers that are essential to a successful educational experience.

This fall, 144 tablet PCs were added to their already flourishing state-of-the-art technology and STEM program. All were made possible through the private philanthropic efforts of NDES families.

Each junior high student was assigned a “virtual backpack” -- a personal tablet PC and MS Office 365 cloud-based account. The MS Office 365 accounts are accessible on up to five devices, giving students and teachers anytime, anywhere access to textbooks, notes and assignments.

Our junior high teachers have become a faculty of “One Note Visionaries,” integrating their current curriculum to utilize the infinite possibilities of cloud-based technology.

“I have created e-class notebooks for each class with One Note, " states math teacher, Mrs. Wendy O'Brien. "Students are learning how to do their collaboration exercises and homework in their e-note books. Some classes have learned how to copy and paste the homework problems from their e-books and use their stylus pens to solve the problems right on top of their homework problems! By next year my classroom should be 90% paperless!”

Also, students have complete access to content libraries and can collaborate on projects with a group of their peers while teachers review students' notebooks and provide feedback -- all online! With One Note, NDES can offer individualized instruction inspiring students to soar to educational excellence!
