Improving Literacy: One Book at a Time

NDES participated in the 2nd Annual Book Drive led by the Marziani and Morrison families in cooperation with Daily Dose of Reading. Daily Dose of Reading is a program that improves literacy in children by empowering families through reading and language. NDES collected over 3,500 books.

Congratulations to Mrs. Kathy Biro’s first-grade class for leading the collections with 511 books! All donated books will support local head start programs and pediatrician offices.
